FIGHT NIGHT FORMAT

1. UNDERCARD FIGHTS

The undercards are in team format. There are 2 teams. Every team comprises of six fighters; five male boxers and one female boxer and 6 backups. The boxers belong to six different weight categories. The undercard will have 6 bouts comprising of 4 rounds of 3 minutes each for men and 3 rounds of 2 minutes each for women.

Weight Categories 

The SBL observes the following six weight categories;

Male

Featherweight (121 lbs)
Welterweight (145 lbs)
Middleweight (158 lbs)
Light heavyweight (169 lbs)
Heavyweight (209 lbs)

Female

Women’s Flyweight (112 lbs)

SCORING SYSTEM

Following are the criteria (Point Scoring System) where contestants can win/draw a match and accordingly, the team gets scored;

Draw=+1

Unanimous Draw

When all the judges score the contest a draw

Majority Draw

When maximum judges score the contest a draw

Split Draw

When all the judges score differently

Referee Decision = +3

When the Referee gets the last word and scores the contestant(s)

Unanimous Decision

When all the judges score win for a contestant

Split Decision

When maximum judges score a contestant and other judges score the other contestant

Technical Knock Out = +4

When Referee stops the contest and when an injury as a result of a legal maneuver is severe enough to terminate a bout

Knock Out = +6

When a contestant is rendered unconscious due to strikes also known as a ‘lights out knockout’

Team with maximum points after all bouts wins the Game.
The game with an equal score by both teams at the end of all bouts is considered as a tie.

2. TITLE FIGHTS AND CO MAIN

World Title pugilists across categories fight for the Championship Belt in their respective categories. Each fight will be of 12 rounds of 3 mins each.

3. MAIN BOUT

2 renowned Title holders of the same category fight for the main Championship Belt. Each fight will be of 12 rounds of 3 mins each.
